I designed this pattern to make an easy, toe-up pair of socks with a tight fit, perfect for wearing inside boots on chilly autumn or spring days. I’ve used Easyknits’ Fade Braid Speckle, an indy-dyed yarn, which makes for a nice, continuous colour change. My socks are different in colour, just as the recipient prefers his socks – a mismatched pair. Any fingering weight yarn (approx. 400m/100g) will do.
