Worked from the top down, these lacy socks feature leaf and arrow
patterns. The arrow lace panels run along the sides of the leg, then they split gracefully at the round heel gusset so that half of each panel continues along the sides of the heel flap (which is worked in the eye-of-the-partridge pattern). The other half of each panel travels along the side of the instep. The directional leaf motif is centered on both the back and front of the leg in mirror images on the two socks. The socks finish with a classic wedge toe and Kitchener stitch.
