★ MATERIALS AND TOOLS :

  • Yarn. Colors – blue, white. I use thin «Slonim» yarn (viscose+acrylic, 100g ~ 1616m). I just take it in a different number of threads. This is more comfortable. For a sweater in 2 threads (100g ~ 808m, it is near 42-45sts in 4 inches). For a hat: elastic part and ears in 3 threads (to be more elegant, 100g ~ 538m, it is near 40sts in 4 inches), and the main part can be crocheted in 3 or in 4 threads, in 4 threads it will be slightly freer, in 3 threads it will sit more tightly on the head, I took it in 4 threads (100g ~ 404m, it is near 35-38sts in 4 inches) Possible yarns (analogue for Slonim yarn in 2 threads): Gamma «Iris» (cotton, 10g ~ 82m) – ideal, gives the same crochet yarn gauge Possible yarns (analogue for Slonim yarn in 3 threads): VISANTIA «LEGEND PRINT» (acrylic, 50g ~ 250m) Adelia AURA (acrylic, 50g ~ 250m) Possible yarns (analogue for Slonim yarn in 4 threads): Pehorka New Kid’s (acrylic, 50g ~ 200m) Adelia JANE (acrylic, 50g ~ 227m) The outfit will fit a Blythe doll on a standard articulated body.

Pattern also contains tips and explanations how to calculate the number of loops and rows when creating an outfit. These tips can be useful if you want to crochet an outfit for another doll (or even for a small child) or use a different yarn.

  • Hook: yarn in 2 threads - №1 (1mm), yarn in 3-4 threads - №2 (2mm)
  • 2pcs of wire for ears (copper thin, 0.4-0.5mm); the length is better measured when the ears are already done, In my case: (18cm along the edge of the ear + 6cm which we will hide inside the hat) * 2ply = 48cm per ear
  • For decoration on the hat 2 snowflake-buttons
  • Flexible centimeter, needle, safety pins, scissors

★ SKILLS REQUIRED:

You must have good crochet skills and you must be able to use crocheting scheme.
