Alma es un sweater para y por mi hija Laura. Está inspirado en los lazos que nos unen más allá de las palabras, en esa conexión profunda que nace del corazón.

Su diseño evoca la pureza y la esencia de los vínculos verdaderos, esos que se sienten como un encuentro de almas que se eligen.

Es una prenda pensada para abrigar no solo el cuerpo, sino también ese lugar interior donde habitan el amor, la ternura y la calma.

CONSTRUCCIÓN

Esta prenda se teje de arriba hacia abajo y tiene una holgura neutra. Se caracteriza por un cuello amplio y volteado en su versión original con un patrón de fantasía trabajado con lazadas y puntos retorcidos. He incorporado una versión con el cuello un poco más cerrado pero conservando el cuello volteado.

Se inicia con un montaje provisional unos centímetros más abajo del cuello y se trabaja el canesú en punto Jersey con aumentos raglán.

Al terminar el canesú se separan cuerpo y mangas y se continúa el cuerpo en Jersey hasta llegar a la pretina, que incorpora el punto de fantasía señalado.

Luego se retoman los puntos para las mangas y se trabajan en Jersey con disminuciones. Al igual que en el cuerpo el puño incorpora el punto de fantasía.

Una vez terminadas cuerpo y mangas se teje el cuello retomando los puntos del montaje provisional por el lado revés de la prenda. El cuello es una banda que incluye el mismo punto de fantasía del borde inferior y los puños. Al trabajarse porel revés, cuando se voltea el cuello hacia afuera, la textura queda a la vista.

Se sugiere usar esta prenda con una holgura neutra alrededor del pecho. Tiene instrucciones diferenciadas para una versión con un cuello ancho pero un poco más estrecho y otra versión de cuello más holgado.

CONSTRUCTION

This garment is knit from the top down and has a neutral ease. It is characterized by a wide, folded collar in its original version, featuring a textured stitch pattern worked with yarn overs and twisted stitches. I have included a version with a slightly narrower collar while still keeping the folded style.

It begins with a provisional cast-on a few centimeters below the collar, and the yoke is worked in Stockinette Stitch with raglan increases.

Once the yoke is complete, body and sleeves are separated, and the body is continued in Stockinette Stitch until reaching the hem, which incorporates the textured stitch pattern.

The stitches for the sleeves are then picked up and worked in Stockinette Stitch with decreases. Like the body, the cuffs also feature the textured stitch pattern.

After finishing the body and sleeves, the collar is worked by picking up the provisional cast-on stitches on the wrong side of the garment. The collar is a band that includes the same textured stitch pattern as the hem and cuffs. Because it is worked from the wrong side, when the collar is folded outward, the texture is visible.
