I’ve never written a knitting pattern before, so please let me know if anything isn’t clear. I measured my rats and knit what I was envisioning. My guys are about 7.5 inches around and the sweater is about 4 inches long. This is a sleeveless turtleneck knit from the top-down, in the round, and is seamless.

I used scrap Knit Picks Palette yarn and US size 2 DPNs.

cast on 49 stitches and slip the last stitch over the first to join the round (48 sts)

K1p1 rib for 1”. Stocking stitch for 1/2”.

Next round k2 tog. 4 times, cast on 14 or 16 stitches, knit 2 together 4 times to make the first armhole. About halfway around the round, repeat for the second armhole.

Knit even until 1/2” from desired length. K1P1 rib for 1/2”. Bind off loosely in knit.

The collar (1” ribbed piece) folds over to make a nice turtleneck.

Adjust as needed. Tag me if you make any, please!
