The Sweet and Naughty Top is worked seamlessly from the top down, featuring a set-in sleeve construction. The top is knitted in stockinette stitch and has a square neckline and a delicate lace trim at the hem and cuffs.
You will begin by casting on each shoulder separately and shaping the shoulders with German short rows while also shaping the back neckline. Then, you’ll connect the shoulders with a back-neck cast-on and knit until the desired armhole depth, incorporating armhole shaping.
Next, the front shoulders are worked by picking up stitches along the shoulder, shaping them with German short rows, shaping the neckline, and knitting to the armhole depth with incorporated shaping. The front and back are then joined at the underarm cast-on, and the body is knitted to the hem, finishing with the lace trim.
For the sleeves, stitches are picked up and German short rows worked to shape the sleeve cap. After a few rounds of stockinette, lace trim is worked for short sleeves. For long sleeves, continuing from the shaped sleeve cap, decreases and increases are worked to shape the sleeve, and it is finished with the lace trim.
Finally, the neckband is worked by picking up stitches along the neckline and finishing with the lace trim.

This pattern has been professionally tech edited and test knitted.

Sizes:
XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL

MEASUREMENTS

Finished bust circumference:
79 (89) 99 (109) 119 (130) 140 (150) 160 cm
31.5 (35.5) 39.5 (43.5) 47.5 (52) 56 (60) 64 inches

Cross-back width (shoulder tip to tip):
31.5 (32.5) 34 (34.5) 37 (38) 40.5 (43) 44 cm
12.5 (13) 13.5 (13.75) 14.75 (15.25) 16.25 (17.25) 17.5 inches

The Sweet and Naughty Top is designed to have approxmately 3-8 cm 1.25-3.25 inches of positive ease across all sizes meaning it is designed to be 3-8 cm 1.25-3.25 inches larger in circumference than your actual bust measurement.

The sizes, XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL are designed to fit a bust circumference of 71-76 (81-86) 91.5-96.5 (101.5-106.5) 115.5-117 (122-127) 132-137 (142-147) 152-158 cm
28-30 (32-34) 36-38 (40-42) 44-46 (48-50) 52-54 (56- 58) 60-62 inches and a cross-back shoulder width (shoulder tip to tip) of 31 (32.5) 33.5 (34.5) 37 (38) 40.5 (43) 44 cm
12.25 (12.75) 13.25 (13.75) 14.5 (15) 16 (17) 17.5 inches.

For the best fit around your bust and shoulder, choose a size that is closest to your bust measurement and 5 - 7.5 cm 2 - 3 inches smaller than your cross-back shoulder width measurement.

For example, If you measure 86 cm 33.75 inches around your bust and 37 cm 14.5 inches at the cross-back shoulder width, you should knit a size S. A size S top has a bust circumference of 89 cm 35.5 inches, which in the given example would give you 3 cm 1.25 inchesof positive ease and cross-back shoulder width of 32.5 cm 12.75 inches.

Note: If you have a bust size larger than a C cup, this pattern may not provide the best fit unless you add a bust dart. This pattern does not include bust dart instructions.

Both samples were knitted in size S. The dark grey sample photo was taken before my pregnancy and has a bust circumference of 90 cm (35.5 inches) and a cross-back width of 37.5 cm (14.75 inches). The cream sample photo was taken after my pregnancy and has a bust circumference of 94 cm 37 inches and a cross-back width of 40.5 cm 16 inches. Height is 155 cm (5 ft 1 in) tall.
