This pattern does not dependent on gauge. It was inspired by corner to corner crochet, but modified to be a heart. The pattern is worked with size 5 bulky yarn in a blend of acrylic/nylon/mohair/wool, using a size I hook, and shows pictures for each step. You will need to repeat the pattern twice (or as many times as you wish) to get the number of coasters that you want. A pair of coasters takes less than one skein of yarn.
