I bought this yarn, called Mrs Coulter, from Tri’CoTerie in 2012. I knew I wanted to knit a shawl but was unable to find a pattern that inspired me. I wanted something similar to a well known pattern but with an open feel. I liked the border on ‘Close to You’ and decided that a combination of both patterns would give me what I wanted. This is what I came up with. I have called it ‘Sweet Louise’ in remembrance of my brother who sadly passed away in July. He loved playing the guitar, singing and writing songs; Sweet Louise was the title of one of the songs he wrote.
