The Sweet Marzipan Hat is a ribbed beanie. It is knit in 1×1 rib from the bottom up, and the crown is shaped using gradual decreases.

The hat is knit with DK-weight merino wool.

The Long-tail tubular cast-on is used for this hat, but you can also use the standard Long-tail cast-on.
