This is a mock pleat skirt that is really cozy and comfortable. A majority of the piece is knit 2 ply so you get extra concealment where you want, whereas the “pleats” are knit separately in 1 ply for a fun little peek-a-boo here and there and sewn in after. The brilliance of this design is that you can make it as long as you want or as short as you dare. This pattern is a “recipe.” Being that it is knit horizontally instead of vertically, it truly is a pattern that is easily adaptable for all sizes.

This was knit in a Lace/fingering weight mohair yarn with double strands. The kind I used was a homespun Peruvian mohair from my LYS. The strands are just slightly thicker than Rowan Kidsilk Haze and it has more beard. It is photographed next to Kidsilk Haze in the pattern for comparison.
