Sweet peas are very pretty and delicate flowers often in deep blue and mauve hues, which reminded me of the vibrant colors of the skeins I selected from The Wandering Flock! Here is a large shawl just the way I like them, combining three colors and two textures of yarn, with cables, lace and textured stitches. Guaranteed fun!

It is a parallelogram knitted on the bias, approximately 78 inches (198 cm) long and 19 inches (48 cm) wide, after blocking.

Materials
Yarn: 2 skeins of Fingering Singles by The Wandering Flock (100% extra fine superwash merino; 400 yards (365 m)/100 g) or 800 yards (730 m) of fingering weight yarn; and 1 skein of Mohair Lace by The Wandering Flock (80% super kid mohair, 20% silk; 430 yards (393 m)/100 g) or the same amount of mohair lace weight yarn.
The sample was made using colorways Alexandrite (yarn 1, fingering, dark blue), Telang (yarn 2, fingering, light blue) and Mystic Violet (yarn 3, mohair, lilac).
Needles: US 5 (3,75 mm). You might need bigger needles (US 6 (4 mm)) for the cables sections to obtain gauge. Tapestry needle, blocking pins or wires.

Gauge
Approximately 21 sts and 32 rows to 4 inches (10 cm) on US 5 (3,75 mm) needles in stockinette st with fingering weight yarn, after blocking.

Les pois de senteur sont de très jolies et délicates fleurs souvent dans des teintes bleues et mauves profondes, ce à quoi m’ont faite penser les couleurs vibrantes des écheveaux que j’ai sélectionnés de The Wandering Flock!
