I designed this blanket for my first grand daughter, who is due to be born any day now. I nicknamed her “Sweet Pea”, thus the name of the blanket.

The blanket features the same quilted stitch pattern I used in my Biscuit Blanket pattern and a 3” seed stitch border. The blanket and the building block have pretty crocheted edging, and the blanket features flower embellishments in each inner corner of the border.

I include directions for making this as a throw/afghan as well because it would work equally well for an adult as for a baby because of the elegant look of the quilted lattice pattern.

Each pattern features 1) a beautiful full-color coversheet, 2) easy to understand and follow detailed instructions, 3) close-up detail photos, a black and white reference photo to help in choosing alternate colors, 4) my unique scrapbook style journal pages for you to use in filling in your own project details.
