The inspiration for these socks came after talking to my godmother, Maree, whose nickname is Sweet Pea. Then looking outside the kitchen window at the garden where the first of the spring sweet peas were shooting up.

Continuously, the sweet pea shoot pattern runs from the start of the leg, all the way down the foot and ending just before the toe. These are a perfect pair of socks to knit when you are holding out for spring.
