Sweetheart Lace Mitts are a fun and festive way to celebrate Valentine’s Day, and they’ll look cute all year long. Make a pair for someone you love or treat yourself!

Begin with a provisional cast on. The lace edging is worked as you go, with a short row thumb added along the way (no need to pick up wraps since they’ll be well hidden in garter stitch). Finish with a three needle bind off. No seaming, no picking up stitches.

This project is suitable for the adventurous beginner. If you’re new to lace, provisional cast on, short rows, or a three needle bind off, fear not! Everything is explained in the pattern. And you get to make two mitts, so you’ll have practiced and mastered the new techniques by the time you finish.
