From Knitting for Baby:  This pullover is the most basic of sweater shapes (that means it is super-easy to knit).  There is no special stitch used for the bottom, sleeve, or neckband; instead, the stockinette stitch is left to curl, which it does naturally, and the curl becomes a design feature.  If you are up for a small challenge, make this sweater with an intarsia heart ... or a seed stitch heart....  Or keep it simple and make it in a solid color.
