This darling top is made with a soft and lightweight cotton yarn, perfect to wear on a sunny spring or summer day! It works great over a strappy fitted tank, sweet floral dress, or bikini top as a beach cover-up. The name comes from one of my favorite British TV shows, “Absolutely Fabulous” – the main characters in this comedy greet each other with this phrase, and the moniker fits nicely for this sweet top. Say it in an English accent and you’re good to go!

This top is crocheted in the round top-down and is seamless. The body is straight.

SIZES:
S (M, L, XL) See chart for finished measurements. The model has a 38-inch bust and is wearing a size Medium.

There is a good bit of difference between the sizes, with the small being quite petite and the extra-large having substantial roominess. When deciding which size to make, think over the measurements in the chart below when choosing. They were all taken with the completed garment laid flat comfortably with no stretching, and before any washing. If you measure along the way, your numbers may not match until the very end. Also, if you use this yarn, there will be approx. 3 inches of “give” to the top in the body length and circumference – consider it a positive ease on top of these measurements below.

Totals = 2 (3, 3, 4) skeins, approx. 6.2 (7, 9.3, 11) ounces, approx. 407 (460, 611, 722) yards.

This cotton yarn has a wonderful soft drape, it’s my absolute favorite! I highly recommend using this brand. If you decide to use a different yarn, look for a similarly soft and light one.

GAUGE:
10 rows x 2 repeats 2sc in the V-space and 4hdc in the next V-space = 5” x 5” square. Go up or down in hook size if needed to achieve the correct gauge. The gauge is checked by starting the pattern and confirming the measurements above, as opposed to creating a separate swatch before starting the pattern.
