A sweet and simple to knit dress, this design can be knit on any standard gauge knitting machine with or without a ribber. It is designed to fit loosely with a twirly skirt. The left shoulder is left open with a button band to make dressing your little one a bit easier.

I have included instructions for both ribbed and plain knit bands. There are charts for the two Fair Isle designs shown but you can substitute any nine or ten row pattern in place of these. If you have no patterning capability, you can substitute a plain colour contrasting “sash”.
