These are simple, sweet and to the point. Use a solid colour for a classic look, multi-coloured sock yarn for stripes, or rainbows or add your own motifs and designs for a truly custom design.

Update: The pattern says that this pattern is for 3 - 12 month but at the 2.5 year old mark my (above average sized) daughter still uses them for chilly days. Of course, they only cover her calves now but fit as you would expect a leg warmer to. We’ve gotten so much use out of them!

Size: 3-12 months (size is approximate, pattern is easy to modify by increasing stitches to suit smaller or larger size requirements)

Materials: 1 50 gram ball (aprx 200 yards) of fingering weight sock yarn (Pictured: Knit Picks Felici Self-Striping Sock Yarn)

1 set of 2.75mm dpns or circulars long enough to use the magic loop method.

Gauge: 8 sts/ inch in Stockinette
