Practical and statement – just a cacophony of brioche, short rows with bobbles, a pop of lurex and a framing of hairy loopy yarn – something large and voluminous; to wrap and envelop. Worked in techniques that are not too much of a challenge. Ending in a large ‘use up all the yarn’ tassel.

Brioche knitting may have originated in the Middle East. However, the term brioche seems to have derived from French slang for ‘mistake’. The name might be a reference to the brioche bread roll, which is formed of two pieces, one stacked atop the other.
