Maurice Moss is possibly the most intelligent person working for Reynholm Industries, being proficient with mathematics, physics, chemistry, and computer technology. He is also the hardest working member of the IT department and by rights should be running the department. He is, however, also shy and child like to the point of being barely functional in the adult world. His favourite restaurant is a place called Messy Joe’s, where a clown comes to your table to take your order, and after work on pay day he can generally be found “blowing his money” at an arcade.

Swings And Roundabouts is inspired by Moss’s attempt to comfort the widow of Denholm Reyhnolm. Worked in simple garter stitch with two different weights of yarn held together, it curves around lace wedges where each of the yarns are used separately for different effects, smooth and haloed, in a balance between intellect and whimsy.

Materials Needed:
The two yarns recommended are a smooth BFL fingering weight, and a very fluffy silk/mohair blend lace weight.
- @405 yards each in both a smooth fingering weight and a mohair lace weight yarn
- 4mm (US 6) needles or size needed to make gauge

Gauge: 20 stitches by 40 rows over 4”/10cm in garter stitch, unblocked.

Size Information:
one size - @5’ long by 8 wide
