This pattern started as a drawing that my daughter made to show me the kind of hat that she imagined and wanted to wear in a holiday parade.
It slowly came to life in the form of a swirly peppermint, elf, sleeping hat :).
It doesn’t have to be made in peppermint colors, those are just the ones that we chose because it’s the holiday season. You could make it in your school colors, your favorite sports team colors, colors to match an outfit or just 2 of your favorite colors.
We had a lot of fun working together to design this hat and hope that you will also have fun making it.
