Swizzle Stick is a cowl is designed to highlight hand-paint yarn and to display shawl pins or broaches.

A Dimple Eyelet lace foundation is knit flat and joined with seven small buttons. The Dimple Eyelet stitch is from Barbara G. Walker’s A Treasury of Knitting Patterns.

The cowl is embellished with right-leaning stripes of hand-paint yarn. A solid color embellishment section provides a stable location to attach two small pins or one large pin. The sample has a 2.5’“ (6.4 cm) pin displayed.

The pattern calls for fingering weight yarn in two different colors and measures 28” wide x 5.5” high (71cm wide x 14 cm high).

Two skeins of The Yarns of Rhichard Devrieze Peppino ; were used for the sample; specifically Calm Waters and Treasure Trove.
