I found a dark purple yarn and a light blue-purple yarn in my stash, and knew I needed to create something special with them. I found a pair of 17th century motifs that worked well together, and this is the result. The motifs create columns within the pattern, so I called this Syle, which is Old English for a column or pillar.

Contrast Colour (CC) Cascade Yarns Cascade 220, 200 m / 100 g (220 yds / 3.5 oz), 1 ball. Colour 9558 Pale Blue. Any currently available Worsted (#4) yarn with similar yardage may be substituted.
