The Sylvia Jumper is smock-style garment that really plays around with contrasting textures and shapes! With a wide neck, drop shoulders and ¾ length sleeves, it’s designed to be a fun garment for all bodies. It’s got a simple upper body, with fun granny squares worked and joined to create the lower part of the smock jumper.

I really love smock tops, so I wanted to see if I could achieve a similar drape effect with crochet and it worked! The granny square bottom panel allows you to throw some colour and personality into your garment whilst retaining a classic silhouette.

Use Sylvia as a way to play around with wild colours, or go for a cohesive and tonal palette it’s completely up to you. It is an intermediate pattern, but I encourage confident beginners to have a go!

Bust sizes given as XS (S, M, L, XL, 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X): 90 (100, 110, 120, 130, 140, 150, 160, 165) cm requiring 886 (985, 1079, 1194, 1292, 1422, 1547, 1672, 1780) metres of YARN A (DK weight) and 399 (448, 498, 548, 548, 598, 648, 698, 747) metres of DK weight yarn for the squares.
