A delicate, lacy shawl to add elegance to an outfit.

This is an intermediate level knitting pattern, involving lacework knitting techniques and a selvedge to help prevent curling at the edges. Knitted in rows, with both written and charted instructions available.

Materials

4.5mm knitting needles

This pattern was designed using Bellica Yarns 4ply in Splash of Antique Mauve. This is a fingering weight yarn, 75% merino, 25% nylon. If using this yarn, you will need 2 skeins. Alternatively, you will need approximately 850m of fingering weight yarn.

Gauge and sizing

The finished shawl size is 150cm long and 60cm wide, though this is approximate as the lacework will allow stretch in the length at the expense of the width, and vice versa. The final size is adaptable by adding more/fewer repeats. 1 repeat of the pattern should measure 16cm across and 7cm tall (more info on this in the pattern).

Please note these refer to blocked measurements, as the lacework opens considerably with blocking.
