Sylvie’s Romper is worked from the top down. First the front and back are worked separately, using raglan increases. They are then assembled on a circular needle, stitches are cast on under the arm and the body is worked in the round. The front and back leg openings are finished separately. The romper is finished by applying an i-cord edge around both bottom and top cast-on edges, the top edge will be closed by adding i-cord strings, adjustable to the child’s size. A variation is given to make the straps longer in order to form a tie. The bottom of the romper is finished by fastening snap buttons to the leg openings. There are quite a few ends to weave in. I recommend weaving those in as you go along to limit the amount of work at the end.
