This semi-circular shawl showcases two-color brioche in a syncopated ribbed pattern. Five colors mix together in a staggered striping color sequence to show off the clean lines of the shawl. This design would make a great first brioche shawl project to practice your technique. I combined hand dyed merino and alpaca from La Bien Aimée together with our West Wool Bicycle yarn for a soft drape with crisp stitch definition.

This design is a great stash buster for your fingering weight yarns. If you’re looking for any colors to supplement your collection we have a large variety of fingering weight yarns at Stephen & Penelope.

The large size has two more sections. I recommend knitting the large size with several colors of fingering weight yarn for a scrappy multi-color effect.
