PATTERN NOTES
The scarf is worked in garter stitch and lace panels. The panels are worked twice over the same row with MC and CC. First you work a RS row with the first colour, then push the stitches back to the other end of the needle, and work another RS row with the second colour. Then repeat, working WS rows. You finish the scarf with two tassels. The G-uld No 4 is a light 4ply/laceweight and the Al- paca is a standard 4ply. When substituting yarns you can use a laceweight and a 4ply – this gives lighter sections against denser ones. The 4ply blocks at either end provide extra drape.
