I didn’t label this as a “weighted blanket” due to the fact that it only ways about 5 lbs. With most weighted blankets they have a rule of being “10%” of the persons body weight. My fear is that with my daughter the heaviness of a properly weighted blanket for her weight might be to much for her. All she really needed was the feeling that she was being hugged and a stitch that she can “play”/run her fingers through as she falls asleep.
Since she has been using this at night, she has been sleeping better. Though, her ability to fall asleep is about the same. It still takes her a bit to completely fall asleep, but once she does fall asleep she sleeps through the night.

NOTES
Please note that this blanket takes up a lot of yarn. I spent approximately $90+ on yarn. Though this is a lot to spend on yarn, but it is hard to find a compression blanket for a textile person.

SIZE: This blanket is fits a twin bed but with little to no over hang. If you want to make it longer or wider just add more rows to the boarder.
