This shawl was inspired by some particularly lovely and vibrant yarn, Magpie Solstice, after a trip to my LYS, Hill Country Weavers. I wanted to play with the idea of the color spectrum and this is my result. Hope you enjoy.

Happy Knitting, all!

Errata: Row 13 of pattern one should begin with K3, not K2.

Anyone who got the pattern during the free download period, I did notice a slight discrepancy in the instructions from one draft to the next. The pattern will work as is, but if you want it exactly like the photo, replace section 2 (towards the end of the shawl/border) with:

Row 1 (W/A): K1, KFB, K to end. DO NOT TURN.
Row 2 (W/E): P all. Turn work at end of row.
Row 3 (W/A): P to last two stitches, PFB, P1. DO NOT TURN
Row 4 (W/E): K all.

Repeat Rows 1- 4 twice, for a total of 12 rows worked in this pattern. Break Color A. Using E, work the following:

R1: K1, KFB, K to end. Turn.
R2: K all. Turn.

Leaving Color E attached, add Color B, and proceed.

Row 1 (W/B): K1, KFB, K to end. DO NOT TURN.
Row 2 (W/E): P all. Turn work at end of row.
Row 3 (W/B): P to last two stitches, PFB, P1. DO NOT TURN
Row 3 (W/E): K all.

Repeat Rows 1-4 twice, for a total of 12 rows worked in this pattern.
Break Color B. Using E, work the following:

R1: K1, KFB, K to end. Turn.
R2: K all. Turn.

Leaving Color E attached, add Color C, and proceed.

Row 1 (W/C): K1, KFB, K to end. DO NOT TURN.
Row 2 (W/E): P all. Turn work at end of row.
Row 3 (W/C): P to last two stitches, PFB, P1. DO NOT TURN
Row 3 (W/E): K all.

Repeat Rows 1-4 twice, for a total of 12 rows worked in this pattern.
Break Color C. Using E, proceed to Final Rows.
