Taegan is a reversible shawlette with a simple mesh pattern. It’s perfect for showing off a special sock yarn. Taegan makes a great last-minute gift — it works up quickly at a nice drapey gauge. It’s fun and easy to crochet, and it will turn out beautifully whether you make it colorful & thick or neutral & delicate.

I used two skeins of Koigu (350 yards total), but my shawlette turned out on the small side (like me). If you want a longer, larger shawl, use at least 400 yards.

You begin with a few foundation stitches, then increase gradually until you have used almost half of your yarn. Then, you decrease gradually until a few stitches remain. Finally, you work a simple-yet-effective mesh edging around the entire shawlette.

Enjoy!
