The Taiga Toque (tee-ga) named for the snowy boreal forests of the Rocky Mountains is the ultimate quick project. When I envisioned this toque I wanted something with a pleasing texture that didn’t require a whole lot of effort but the end result would look like it was complicated (but it’s not!) If you’re like any Maker, there is always that last minute panic to get stock made up for pending markets and this design delivers on all levels for that very purpose. So make one or make a stack. Just keep making and use up all those worsted weight leftover yarn bits you’ve been hoarding. Yes you, we all know you have them because we do too!
