Finished size: 5¾ (6¾, 7¾)“ (14.5 [17, 19.5] cm) hand circumference and 6½ (9, 10)” (16.5 [23, 25.5] cm) from cuff to tip of fingers; to fit a child (adult medium, adult large). Pink mittens measure 6½“ long; bluegreen mittens measure 9” long.

Yarn:

Cuff: Tailspun yarn, 15 yd [13.5 m]);

Hand: 2-ply bulky yarn, 85–100 yd (78–91.5 m).

Tailspun yarn: Fiber/ yarn: Core: 2-ply commercial 100% wool yarn, spun in S direction before tailspinning.

Locks: Hand-dyed kid mohair locks from Ixchel Fibre Farm in Victoria, Australia.

Yarn Weight: #5 - Bulky

Needles: Sizes 11 and 13 (8 and 9 mm): Set of 4 double-pointed (dpn) or two 16” (40 cm) circular (cir) needles. Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Markers (m); waste yarn; tapestry needle.

Gauge: 12 sts and 20 rnds = 4” (10 cm) on smaller needles with bulky 2-ply yarn.
