I’ve been inspired by the old Norwegian Selbu sock tradition, witch contains so many beautiful patterns.
I love how the pattern gets so graphical in the two contrast colors.
Its knitted in two colors from the top to the toe. You`ll make the pattern by following a chart. The heel is knitted with German short rows as a boomerang heel.

I’ve knitted mine in pure Norwegian wool yarn, called 2 tr Gammelserie, but it can also easily be done in Fingering weight sock yarn.
