Measurements:
Yoke (with shoulders): approx. 82 (87) 92 (97) 102 (107) 112 cm
Chest: approx. 70 (75) 80 (85) 90 (95) 100
Waist: approx. 60 (65) 70 (75) 80 (85) 90
Length: approx. 30 (32) 34 (36) 38 (40) 42 cm or desired length.

Yarn:
250 (300) 350 (400) 450 (450) 500 g Double Sunday

75 (75) 100 (100) 100 (125) 125 g Tynn SIlk Mohair

The top has a range of movement of approx: -15 cm to -20 cm on the yoke and approx. -5 cm at the waist.

The measurements are the garment measurements, so choose a size that is between -15 and -20 from your own measurements on the yoke and approximately -5 to -10 cm on the chest and waist.

Decreases are worked from the yoke down to the waist - if you want a straight top without a fitted waist, these decreases can be omitted and the waist measurement will be the same as the chest measurement.

NOTE! The amount of yarn in the pattern is calculated based on the measurements given. If you choose to knit the top longer than the stated measurements, or if you choose to knit without decreases at the waist, you may want to buy some extra yarn.

The story behind:

It’s almost become a tradition for me to knit my Christmas outfit - or can you call it a tradition if you’ve only done it twice? Well, maybe not. But the 2024 Christmas outfit had to be knitted, just like in 2023, and that’s when this design was born. I wanted to make a top that I could style together with a skirt and had been inspired by the bows that had become so popular to decorate with - both on clothes, in the hair, on the Christmas tree and on the dining table. The bows were everywhere - and I wanted one on my Christmas outfit. That’s how the idea of making a bow top was born. But I also wanted to make a versatile garment that I could use for more than just my Christmas outfit, and that’s when I came up with the idea of making a 2 in 1 top. The bow top simply consists of two ribbons - the yoke and a slightly smaller double-knit ribbon that you attach around the top to create a beautiful bow. Remove the ribbon and you have an off-shoulder top that can be worn with elegant fancy outfits or everyday with a shirt underneath and a pair of jeans.
