A cosy pair of long gauntlets, featuring a series of simple 4 stitch colourwork motifs.

YARN
Rowan Felted Tweed (50% Wool, 25% Alpaca, 25% Viscose; 175m / 191yds per 50g ball)
1 ball of each of the following shades:

211 Black
200 Barbara
216 French Mustard
185 Frozen
177 Clay
154 Ginger
202 Turquoise

NEEDLES AND NOTIONS
Gauge-size needle(s) of your preferred type for working small circumferences
Gauge-size double-pointed needles for working fingers
Long gauge-size circular needle for holding finger stitches
Waste yarn (for thumb placement)
Stitch marker
Tapestry needle

GAUGE
30 sts and 36 rounds to 10cm / 4in over colourwork pattern in the round.
Use 3mm needles as a starting point for swatching.

SIZE
To fit hand 18-20.5cm /7-8in circumference.
Length: 32cm / 12.6in

PATTERN NOTES
These long gauntlets are worked from bottom to top. After completing the cuff in 1x1 twisted rib, the gauntlet body is worked following a colourwork chart.
A placeholder of waste yarn is inserted into the fabric of the palm for the afterthought thumb.
After finishing the hand, each of the four half-fingers and the thumb are worked seperately.
