“Take Me Home Jamie”
This pattern was created after my purchase of Honey Girl Farms yarn named Jamies Tartan, from her Outlander Inspired range.
The title is inspired from Claire asking Jamie to take her home in the Outlander series and book.
I wanted to create a neck piece that can be worn as a cowl, neck shawl or scarf depending on whether its fastened with a pin or tied at the neck.
The shaping of the lace area of the shawl really happens in the blocking of the finished piece.
It is knitted starting from the narrow point end and finishing with the lace area.
I have recreated it in many yarns bases, but for the blocking of the lace area a natural wool based yarn does work best.
It is created using 1 x 100g DK yarn approx. 225m
The yarn I have used for this is Honey Girl Farms in Sustainable DK 100% Superfine Merino.
