This stunning crescent shawl begins with just three stitches using a garter tab cast on at the top. The pattern uses two strands of lace weight yarn held together, one of which has sequins for a subtle shimmer. This little white shawl if the knit world’s version of the little black dress.

There is a quirky video overview of this pattern available on YouTube here.

A stockinette background is balanced with some gathered stitches and rows of eyelets. Stitch techniques include: slipped stitches, yarn over, knit thee together. Yarn substitutions for a single skein of fingering or DK weight yarn will work. Adjust needle size to obtain desired gauge.

Take Me to the Pary has a beautiful, flawlessly crescent shape. It’s not overly intricate, nor is it boring. There’s just enough detail and patternwork to make it different without causing exhaustion or undue knitting stress.

This pattern has been reviewed by a qualified tech editor. Professional instructions include measurements in English and metric. The pattern is written with row by row instructions.
