The Take Your Time Slipover is a classic v neck slipover that will effortlessly keep you dressed up and warm. Perfect to wear with a simple t-shirt for an extra layer. The slipover is worked from the top down in stockinette stitch all the way through. It features mitered v neck, and it is framed with the classic rib around the armholes and neck as well as the waist. First you will work the stitches for the back, after that you will work the left shoulder then the right shoulder as well as the front to shape the v neck and the armholes, then you will connect the front and back to work the body in the round. Approximately 5 to 10 cm / 2” to 4” of positive ease is built in to the pattern, chose your size based on how much ease you prefer.

Gauge
17 stitches by 24 rows = 4” x 4” (10 x 10 cm) using size (US 8) / 5 mm needles in stockinette stitch after washing and blocking.
Gauge is important, you will need to check it periodically as knitters tend to knit differently when knitting flat and knitting in the round. It is especially important to obtain the correct gauge because of the shoulder width.
