Talisker Cowl
The Talisker Cowl is knitted in the round with a garter edge, a lace pattern, stockinette in the round and eyelet detail finishing.
It is designed to use one skein of DK - if you stick to gauge it will literally use up every last metre of that skein, making it the perfect project for that special skein you have been keeping in stash. And also a great gift knit!!
The yarn used in the sample is a very luxurious and drapey fibre but this cowl would work just as well with a more toothy yarn and it will have slightly more structure to it.
The finished cowl measures approx 39 x 25.5 cms once wet blocked and dried.
It is one size (adult).
I would recommend wet blocking the cowl to show off the lace pattern and eyelet finishing in all its glory.
You can easily lengthen or shorten the cowl and also make adjustments to the number of stitches cast on - details are in the pattern.
Materials needed -
1 skein of DK (at least 225m)
4mm circular needles
3 stitch markers
tapestry needle.
I hope you enjoy this pattern and I would love to see your finished cowls so feel free to tag me in your socials #hebfibreco
Happy Knitting!!
