This simple, elegant hat forms a gentle spiral that flows seamlessly into the crown, with the decreases hidden so cleverly that they become part of the design rather than a disruption. The result is a beautifully sculpted top and a clean, uninterrupted fabric.

This design is worked in two colours, combining a smooth fingering‑weight yarn with a mohair strand that brings a halo and understated colour variation. The mohair softens the transitions within the spiral making the knit / purl transitions less obvious, adding depth to the overall fabric. If mohair isn’t your preference, you can substitute any lace‑weight fibre to create a gentle mottled effect.
