ABOUT THE DESIGN
Helga Isager writes about the pattern:
In the making of Tan Top & Shorts I was inspired by classic lingerie from the 40s. The set can be worn as underwear or on its own on warm summer days.
Both top and shorts are knitted bottom up in Trio 1 and Alpaca 1 and have ribbed details along the sides as well as wedges knitted in one strand of Trio 2. The wedges are shaped using Japanese short rows and makes a shiny contrast to the matte material.

CONSTRUCTION
The top is worked in the round from the bottom up in 1 strand of Isager Trio 1 and 1 strand of Isager Alpaca 1 held together. At the armholes, divide the stitches into back and front, and finish each section separately, working back and forth and working decreases for the armholes and V-neck.
At the end a wedge is worked for the V-neck.
