This is a knitting pattern for this tangerine hat / mandarin hat.

The pdf pattern is 8 pages including pictures.

You can use any yarn you have with suitable needles and get different sizes.

The pattern gives rather an elastic piece so differences in cm’s are well tolerated between ages.

What I used:

• 100 gr orange yarn, I recommend that you use weight 2 yarn with 4 mm (17 x 24 stitches to obtain 10 cm x 10 cm, width height)
Because I was not able to find the bright orange yarn as I liked, I used weight 1, 100% acrylic yarn. I used double strands from this yarn to give the right gauge.
• 50 gr green yarn, I used weight 2, 100% acrylic yarn with 4 mm needles (19 x 27 stitches to obtain 10 cm x 10 cm, width height)

Needles
• Circular 40 cm (/16’’) size 4 mm /US 6 / UK 8
• Double pointed needles size 4 mm / US 6/ UK 8

You can always use different weight yarn with appropriate needles and calculate/ adjust the number of stitches yourself or by using knitting calculator on internet.
