Tango Swerve Socks is a toe-up, charted, colorwork AND non-colorwork pattern - great for solids or variegated yarn.

About the pattern: When I first knitted this pattern, I used a wonderful yarn with the name “Tango” as the colorway. I thought the name worked well since the zig-zagging lines seem to be dancing with one another!

This fun pattern can be knitting as colorwork or non-colorwork socks and is available in Medium and Large width. This toe-up pattern uses fingering weight yarn on 2 circular needles in a charted pattern.

Suitable for intermediate-advanced sock knitters familiar with sock construction and colorwork/stranded techniques.

Needles:

  • For colorwork - Two circular 2.75mm needles or whichever size to achieve gauge. (I used 2 - 16” circulars)
  • For non-colorwork - Two circular 2.25mm needles or whichever size to achieve gauge.

Yarn for Medium:

  • For colorwork - One 50 gram ball of fingering weight yarn in a Main Color, and one 50 gram ball in Contrast Color.
  • For non-colorwork - Two 50 gram balls of fingering weight yarn

Yarn for Large:

  • For colorwork - Two 50 gram balls of MC, one 50 gram ball in CC.
  • For non-colorwork - Two 50 gram balls of fingering weight yarn

Pattern includes color charts for the instep and foot. The pattern is a downloadable digital file in .pdf format.
