Like its namesake city Taos, which is situated on the ancestral lands of the Taos Pueblo people, this shawl layers southwestern motifs and playful pops of color onto a calming neutral canvas. Alternating sections of garter stitch, lace, and mosaic colorwork will keep your interest as this shawl grows.

NOTES
Construction: Taos is a top-down half-circle shawl with elongated wings. It is worked in 5 colors in sections that alternate between garter stitch, lace, and mosaic colorwork. An i-cord edging is created as you go, and the shawl is finished with an i-cord bind-off.

Stitch Patterns: Lace stitch patterns for this shawl are written and charted. Mosaic colorwork stitch patterns are only charted, so you should be confident in your chart reading skills—or be open to learning!
