This stunning sunglasses case is modern with its Scottish inspired fair isle shown by the tartan and bird fair isle design.

The case is knitted in the round with 3mm (2.5US) double pointed needles from the bottom up. Lastly, the the bottom is sewn together.

The yellow sample is knit with fingering weight yarn, Jamieson’s 2-Ply Spindrift (Shetland Wool), one ball of each of the three colours: Dark Navy, Eggshell, and Mustard. The second sample substitutes the Mustard colour with Mogit. Each ball is 25 grams / 105 meters. However there are lots of other potential great colour combinations and other types of yarn that would suite this pattern!

The pattern involves instructions for one size (width 3.5” (8cm) and length 7.5” (16.5cm)) although this can easily be adjusted to make the case wider and or longer by adding repeats of the fair isle charts.

The pattern includes charts for the tartan and bird fair isle sections of the case.

Enjoy!
