The Tartan Twist Scarf is worked in one piece, using two strands simultaneously to create the beautiful mottled tones of the diagonal and horizontal stripes. The autumn colours combine to complement the colours of the season as you scrunch through autumn leaves, wrapping yourself against the chill in the fresh air. The Tartan Twist Scarf is perfect as a gift or an addition to your own wardrobe.

You will need 3 balls of walnut, 2 balls each of gold, meadow and khaki, 1 ball of claret and a 5mm crochet hook. This pattern uses two strands simultaneously to create a thicker texture than usual, so it is like working with and has the texture of a chunky yarn.

You will also benefit from using bobbins. I made my own from recycled cardboard tubes and two cardboard boxes, but you can use pegs or dowels if you prefer.
