Materials List
Yarn: This pattern is designed for “scrappy” mixed-media creations.
Weight: Medium/Worsted weight (Weight 4) is recommended.
Texture: Feel free to mix textures! If using a thinner yarn (Weight 2 or 3), hold two strands together to maintain the thickness and prevent the stuffing from showing through.
Hook: 5.0mm (H) hook. Using a slightly smaller hook than recommended for your yarn weight will create a tighter fabric, which is ideal for amigurumi.
Stuffing: Polyester fiberfill or leftover yarn scraps and fabric remnants for an eco-friendly “Tatter-Tot” feel.
Eyes: Flat or shank buttons. If this doll is intended for a small child, please consider embroidering the eyes with yarn instead of using buttons to avoid a choking hazard.
Tapestry Needle: For sewing limbs and embroidering the facial features.
Scissors and stitch markers. I like to use a stitch marker to mark the first round when doing multiple rounds of SC to make it easier when counting rows.
