This is an easy pattern for the beginner knitter that has a little bit of experience under their belt – the most skill required is the picking up of stitches around the neck. The rest is relatively easy as it is straight knitting with seed/moss stitch bands on the side as you go.
Buttonholes are made on the front with simple bind off, then bind on, on the following row.

The only sewing up required is the shoulders, but experienced knitters can use the 3 needle bind off.
The shawl type collar is left open on one side and folded down and secured with a decorative button.
This pattern is easy to lengthen or shorten as required.

Great for the spring or fall months worn with a t-shirt, or in winter with a long sleeved merino underneath – team with a pair of leggings or jeans and a great pair of boots.
