Tavira Vest is a simple and timeless V-neck vest designed for everyday wear and effortless styling.
It can be worn either as a summer top directly against the skin or layered over a shirt or long-sleeve top during cooler days. Depending on the yarn choice, it works beautifully throughout the year: cotton or plant-based blends create a lightweight summer garment, while wool or wool blends provide warmth for autumn and winter.
The vest is worked top down. The yoke is shaped first together with European shoulders, creating a clean and polished construction. Stitches for the front pieces are then picked up separately along each shoulder, and the V-neck is shaped through a series of increases. Once the front and back sections are completed, they are joined under the arms, and the body is worked in the round to the desired length.
The neckline, armholes, and lower hem are finished with a classic 1x1 ribbing, providing a neat and elastic edge.
